• On October 30, the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce presented Jay’s with the Business of the Year Award as well as the 1st Place Award in the Service Category at the annual ABEX (Achievement in Business Excellence) awards dinner.
  • In November, Jay’s adds 37 points of service out of North Battleford and Swift Current bringing the new total of direct service points for freight to 437.
  • The Yorkton branch expanded their building.
  • Jay’s Annual Golf Classic for Telemiracle raised over $88,000 to bring our 19-year grand total to over $658,000.
  • Saskatchewan’s World’s Largest Truck Convoy raised over $35,000 for Special Olympics bringing their forth year total to just under $90,000. Forty-two trucks registered for this event. Thanks to the Jay’s volunteers who helped coordinate the event.


  • October: Jay’s continues to expand the freight division with the purchase of Eastern Transport, which brings the points of service to 453.
  • Jay’s Annual Golf Classic for Telemiracle raises over $104,000, bringing the grand total to over three quarters of a million dollars.
  • This year, the “World’s Largest Truck Convoy” registered 40 trucks and raised $22,000 for Special Olympics, bringing the grand total to just over $120,000.
  • Regina Pats and Jay’s team up for a special Breast Cancer Awareness Night game on Oct 28.
  • Glen Rugg of Jay’s Regina Freight is awarded Dispatcher of the Year by the Saskatchewan Trucking Association.


  • Jay’s named on Regina’s Top 50 Companies, which reflects growth and diversity.
  • January: Jay’s begins servicing Hudson Bay, Fairholme, Halbrite, Livelong, Mistatim, Prairie River, Snowden, Veregin and Wilbert, increasing points of service to 462.
  • March/April: Jay’s acquires acquired the western lines of Red’s Transport Ltd. and the transport division of Town & Country Pump Repair, bringing the points of service to 481.
  • Jay’s Annual Golf Classic for Telemiracle raises over $115,000, bringing the grand total to over $878,000.
  • Jay’s donates tractor to Buckland Fire & Rescue made up of local volunteer firefighters.
  • Appointments: Iver Martinson was appointed General Manager, Freight and welcomed on the senior management team.
  • September: The “World’s Largest Truck Convoy,” which Jay’s volunteers help coordinate, registered 63 trucks and raised $42,500 for Special Olympics.
  • November: Jay’s rolls out its specially wrapped Breast Cancer Action Saskatchewan trailer to the Brandt Centre for another special Regina Pats game promoting breast cancer awareness.


  • February: Jay's Moving and Storage 'shows heart' as title sponsor of the Rotary Club of Eastview's 'Mending Hearts Valentine Gala' fundraiser.  All proceeds raised will go to the Regina Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association and the Rotary Club of Regina Eastview school project in Guatemala.
  • March: Darwin Baker and Lorraine Carmody present a cheque from Jay's during the Kinsmen Telemiracle Telethon broadcast.  Our donation of $115,925.92 helped Telemiracle to a total of $5,546,712 for 2013, pushing them past the $100 million dollar mark over 37 years!
  • April: Jay's received our first placement on Today's Trucking Top 100 Fleets list released in March.  We are proud to have achieved this significant milestone as a Canadian transportation business.  The Top 100 is announced annually, based on the number of units in operation.
  • June: We are pleased to announce that Jay's Moving and Storage has been purchased by Mullen Group Ltd. as of June 1, 2013.  Jay's will operate as a standalone business within Mullen Group.
  • July: Jay's Moving is honoured to announce that we have raised over a million dollars for Kinsmen Telemiracle in our 22 years of fundraising. Our Annual Golf Classic brought the total for 2013 to $124,906 and our grand total to $1,003,518!
