Jay's in the Community
At Jay’s Transportation Group Ltd. we believe in giving back to the community. Our success as a company has made it possible to do so in many ways. Throughout the year we organize, coordinate, sponsor and help many charities and organisations across Saskatchewan and into Alberta. We encourage our staff to volunteer and they give hundreds of paid hours to assist charities and improve their communities. Most notably, we are involved with the Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation. Our community activities have helped create and reinforce our philosophy that provides direction for all employees about acceptance, empathy, and diversity.
KINSMEN TELEMIRACLE FOUNDATION
Since 1992 Jay’s Annual Golf Classic has been a major fundraiser for Kinsmen Telemiracle, surpassing the million dollar mark in 2013. Held each June at the Harbor Golf Club in Elbow, SK., the tournament is a great success thanks to hundreds of generous sponsors and many dedicated volunteers.
We also raise funds for Telemiracle throughout the year at branch organised steak nights, community dances and other events.
The Kinsmen Foundation is a volunteer driven organization dedicated to providing special equipment and access to medical assistance to the people of Saskatchewan while improving their quality of life and independence. Equipment provided includes communications aids, technical aids, specialized computers, ultra-light wheelchairs, electric scooters, and wheelchair lifts for vans. The Foundation also assists with provincial and inter-provincial travel expenses for individuals receiving medical treatment, assessments, and organ transplants.
More information on our annual golf tournament can be found can be found on our Golf Classic page.
